This character lineup focuses on a mercenary team formed around Deadpool and the shifting identities within the group known as Mercs for Money. The collection explores impersonation reputation conflict and evolving loyalty as characters move between hero vigilante and anti hero roles. These storylines are often revisited by collectors through minifig and minifigure interpretations where team dynamics costume variations and moral ambiguity can be highlighted in miniature character form across modular brick style displays.

Deadpool team originally assembled under the name Heroes for Hire before later becoming known as Mercs for Money is built around the idea of identity branding and mercenary reputation. The group was formed after Solo impersonated Deadpool and successfully took on jobs at Deadpool standard pay rate unintentionally increasing Deadpool popularity. Recognizing the opportunity Deadpool recruited Solo as his first employee and began expanding the team with other vigilantes who initially wore identical costumes. Following a legal cease and desist from Luke Cage the leader of the original Heroes for Hire the group was forced to rename itself Mercs for Money. To distinguish themselves from a separate Deadpool impersonator damaging their reputation the team adopted color coded outfits before eventually transitioning to individual uniforms after the impostor was revealed as Madcap a member of the group. This evolving team identity and visual variation is commonly explored through minifig and minifigure depictions that emphasize costume changes and group dynamics.

Foolkiller is a vigilante identity shared by multiple individuals all driven by a distorted interpretation of justice. The original Foolkiller Greg Salinger debuted in 1973 and believed himself divinely chosen to eliminate those he labeled as fools based on his own moral criteria. Armed with a specialized energy weapon capable of incinerating targets his methods were ruthless placing him firmly outside the law. Later incarnations of Foolkiller retained the same mission while differing in background and personality. One version eventually worked alongside Deadpool within the Mercs for Money reinforcing the character morally ambiguous role. This extreme worldview and militant design translate effectively into minifig and miniature character interpretations used in darker themed displays.

Terror also known as Shriek is introduced as a dangerous adversary connected to the Mercs for Money storyline making his first appearance in 2016. While early appearances provide limited background information Terror presence is defined through raw superhuman capability and his role as a disruptive force opposing the team. His association with Deadpool group adds tension and unpredictability to the narrative contributing to the internal and external challenges faced by the mercenary lineup. This intimidating presence is often reflected in minifigure style adaptations focused on villain centered collections.

Solo also known as James Bourne is a mercenary anti hero distinguished by his ability to teleport short distances allowing for rapid repositioning escape and tactical advantage. First appearing in 1998 Solo became a key catalyst in the formation of Deadpool mercenary group after impersonating Deadpool and capitalizing on his reputation. His skills as a marksman and close quarters combatant make him a valuable operative and recurring member of the Mercs for Money. This blend of deception mobility and precision lends itself naturally to minifig and minifigure representations that highlight agile character movement within compact scene setups.
