Sinestro is a fictional character from a classic comic universe. He is best known as a prominent antagonist of the Green Lantern Corps. His first appearance was in Green Lantern (Vol. 2) #7. Originally a skilled and respected member of the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro hailed from the planet Korugar and was considered the greatest of the Green Lanterns, known for his effectiveness in maintaining order in his sector. However, his authoritarian methods, using fear to control his sector, led to his expulsion from the Green Lantern Corps and the loss of his power ring, marking the beginning of his antagonistic relationship with Hal Jordan and the rest of the Lantern Corps.
