This brick-style minifigure set features a focused lineup of fan-inspired characters spanning a classic superhero comic world and a futuristic Spider-Man 2099 timeline: Mister Terrific, The Joker, Zatanna, Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O'Hara), Sinestro, Superboy, Gold Batman and Mary Jane Watson (MJ). Each figure is a creative building block figure designed for display and imaginative play, inspired by well-known stories and character designs. This collection is not an official product of any original brand, publisher, studio, or license holder.

Mister Terrific is a superhero from a classic American comic universe. The character exists in two primary iterations, with the second being more prominent. Michael Holt is the second Mister Terrific. A genius-level intellect with expertise in numerous fields, he is also an Olympic-level athlete and master martial artist. Holt took up the mantle after the death of the original Mister Terrific, Terry Sloane. The Michael Holt version of Mister Terrific first appeared in Spectre vol. 3 #54 (June 1997).

The Joker, as portrayed in the Arkham game series, is Batman's most iconic and persistent nemesis. He first appeared in the game Arkham Asylum, immediately establishing himself as a manipulative and chaotic force. He orchestrates the events of the game, trapping Batman within Arkham and unleashing its inmates. Throughout Arkham City, his deteriorating health due to Titan poisoning becomes a central plot point, leading to drastic actions and ultimately his demise. His presence continues to be felt in Arkham Knight through hallucinatory sequences and his influence on other characters. While absent as a physical threat in Arkham Origins, his backstory and initial encounter with Batman are explored, showcasing the genesis of their complex relationship.

Zatanna is a powerful sorceress in a classic comic universe, known for casting spells by speaking backwards. Her first appearance was in Hawkman #4 (November 1964). She is a prominent member of Justice League Dark, a team of supernatural heroes who handle threats beyond the scope of the conventional Justice League. This incarnation of Zatanna, as seen in brick-style building block figure releases, is often associated with the Justice League Dark storyline. Her abilities are derived from her father, Giovanni "John" Zatara, also a stage magician and powerful sorcerer. This connection to her family's magical legacy is a key aspect of her character.

Spider-Man 2099, also known as Miguel O'Hara, encountered a unique symbiote in the year 2099. This wasn't the traditional Venom symbiote but a genetically engineered variant created by Alchemax. This symbiote, unlike its predecessors, didn't bond with Miguel out of rage or vengeance. Instead, it sought a host with specific genetic markers, finding him a compatible match. The resulting bond amplified Miguel's already augmented abilities, granting him increased strength, speed, and agility. Symbiote Spider-Man 2099's suit differed visually from Venom, often presenting with a more streamlined, futuristic design, sometimes exhibiting shimmering or chromatic properties. The symbiote enhanced his existing talons and organic webbing, making him an even more formidable hero in Nueva York. This bond, while powerful, also presented Miguel with challenges, as he had to learn to control the symbiote's influence and manage its unique properties, ensuring it didn't overwhelm his own personality and values as Spider-Man.

Sinestro is a fictional character from a classic comic universe. He is best known as a prominent antagonist of the Green Lantern Corps. His first appearance was in Green Lantern (Vol. 2) #7. Originally a skilled and respected member of the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro hailed from the planet Korugar and was considered the greatest of the Green Lanterns, known for his effectiveness in maintaining order in his sector. However, his authoritarian methods, using fear to control his sector, led to his expulsion from the Green Lantern Corps and the loss of his power ring, marking the beginning of his antagonistic relationship with Hal Jordan and the rest of the Lantern Corps. Driven by a desire for order and control, Sinestro became the leader of the Sinestro Corps, wielding a yellow power ring fueled by fear, believing that fear is a more effective means of maintaining order in the universe than willpower.

Superboy is a character introduced during a major modern comic relaunch, first appearing in Teen Titans #1 (November 2011). Created by Project NOWHERE, this Superboy is a clone artificially grown in a lab, possessing unique tactile telekinesis that allows him to manipulate objects through physical contact, simulate Kryptonian powers, and even disassemble other beings. Initially used as a weapon by NOWHERE, he struggles with questions of purpose and identity, eventually breaking free from their control and joining the Teen Titans.

Gold Batman is a variant of Batman that appears as a brick-style minifigure. This version of Batman features a predominantly gold-colored suit, including a gold mask and torso that set him apart from the traditional dark grey and black design, with gold serving as the uniform color. Gold Batman first appeared as a collectible minifigure variant in 2010.

Mary Jane Watson, often referred to as MJ, is a significant character in the Spider-Man mythos, first appearing in issue #42 (November 1966) but only shown from behind. Her face was famously revealed in issue #43 (December 1966). She is most notably known for her relationship with Peter Parker / Spider-Man, eventually becoming his wife in the mainstream comic book universe. While her history with Peter has seen many changes, they always find their way back to each other. In brick-style Spider-Man-themed building block figure releases, Mary Jane often appears alongside Spider-Man, sometimes in everyday settings and at other times facing supervillains in the city. Commonly depicted as an outgoing and confident woman, she offers support and love to Peter and occasionally assists Spider-Man in his endeavors. She's a cornerstone of Spider-Man's life.
